Worlasi Langani is a multi-disciplinary artist who uses art and music to explore and shed light on social issues in his home country Ghana.
As an only child, creating art was his remedy for isolation. And as he grew, art became his place of refuge, fulfilment and therapy. He was inspired by local carpenters who turned shapeless objects into works of art and sought to do the same with his work.
He earned an HND in Fine Arts: Painting & Sculpture, from Takoradi Technical University but decided to focus on his growing music career, stepping away from his paintbrushes. He rediscovered his love for art in 2020 during the COVID pandemic when the world was thrown into forced isolation. His work is mainly inspired by the diversity and uniqueness of the human form.
In the The.rap.Y Show, Worlasi invites you into an immersive audiovisual experience, combining art, music and conversations about mental health.
We’ll be exhibiting a selection of new work by Worlasi inspired by his latest EP, The.rap.Y. Each piece is linked to a single from the EP, so you can buy artwork inspired by your favourite track!
