Pexels is a great resource for high quality, free stock photos and videos. With over 3.2 million files in their library, it’s the site we use the most during content creation. And it took us a while to share it with our friends because it’s so good we wanted to keep it a secret forever!
BLACK STOCK FOOTAGE
The name tells you what you’re going to get, and they are so dedicated to their mission that you can even search images by skin tone.
Although it’s more expensive than some of the other stock video sites, you avoid searches like “Afro hair AND office work” to find black people doing stuff.
If you’re looking for a one-stop-shop for all your creative assets, then Mixkit is the website for you. With Mixkit, you can find stock video clips, music tracks, sound effects and video templates – all for free and with no watermark.
Mixkit is constantly expanding their collection of assets, so be sure to check back often for new additions.
Storyblocks is a great resource for filmmakers, YouTubers, and anyone who needs stock footage, audio, or images for their projects. In 2020, they started an initiative called Re:Stock to host more diverse stock video footage on their site and it’s really paying off.
They also have an online video editor called Maker, in case you don’t have video editing software.

Everyone knows Canva by now right? It’s great for its graphic design, but also has a large video stock collection due to its partnership with brands like Getty. It’s probably the cheapest way to get high-quality video footage right now.

Envato Elements has so much footage it can sometimes get overwhelming. But if you know exactly what you’re looking for, you’ll probably find it. They also have graphic templates, audio and more so it’s worth the price tag.
