Sony Future Filmmaker Awards is a major new annual awards program for short films devoted to supporting and elevating independent filmmakers and creators from across the globe. Set apart by its exceptional prize, the Awards provide successful filmmakers with invaluable opportunities in the form of a trip to Los Angeles and to the historic Sony Pictures Studio in Culver City, California, where they gain exclusive access to experts and unparalleled insight into the inner workings of the industry.

Rewards

All 30 shortlisted filmmakers will be flown to the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, to attend a black-tie ceremony and a bespoke four-day workshop program led by Sony Pictures executives. 

Flights and accommodation to California.

Prize winners may receive camera equipment as part of their Prize and in such cases equipment may be sent to them.

Eligibility

This opportunity is opened to video creators and filmmakers of all nationalities both students and working. Entry must be shot in English or include English subtitles.
