About this opportunity

The Moth Poetry Prize is one of the biggest prizes in the world for a single unpublished poem. The prize is open to anyone, as long as the poem is previously unpublished, and each year it attracts thousands of entries from new and established poets from over 50 countries worldwide.

Rewards

• 1st €6,000
• 3 runner-up prizes of €1,000
• 8 prizes of €250 for commended poems

Eligibility

• The Prize is open to anyone (over 16) from anywhere in the world, as long as the work is original and previously unpublished.
• Entries must be entirely the work of the entrant and must never have been published, self-published, published online or broadcast
• Poem must be in English
• We will accept poems translated from other languages into English, with prize money to be divided equally between the poet and the translator
• You can enter as as many poems as you like (at a cost of €15 per poem).
