About this opportunity
The Miles Morland Foundation is awarding writers with a £18k scholarship. The purpose of the Morland Writing Scholarships is to allow each scholar the time to produce the first draft of a completed book. The scholarship is intended to enable you to write a completely new work, not to finish a work in progress. A “new work” is one which you have not yet begun writing, and it must be fiction or non-fiction prose ( not short stories or poems.) To qualify for the Scholarship, candidates must submit an excerpt from a published, 2,000-5,000 word English work, along with clear evidence of publication and sale. Please also provide a writeup in 200 – 300 words about yourself and your background.
Rewards
Scholars writing fiction will receive a grant of £18,000, paid monthly over the course of twelve months
