About this opportunity
The Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste and Elektronmusikstudion (EMS) are looking to support artists and researchers developing new work at the intersection of sound, music, and technology. The residency welcomes projects in electroacoustic music, live electronics, sound art, radio art, digital and performative arts, as well as curatorial, educational, publishing, and research-based practices where sound is central. Four selected artists or groups will develop new work during the residency, which will be presented in Stockholm and at the KONTAKTE Festival 2027 in Berlin.

Eligibility
- Open to individual artists and groups worldwide
- Applications are invited for:
- New instrumental and live electronic works
- Electroacoustic music, computer music, acousmatic music, radio art, and sound art
- Interdisciplinary projects where sound is a central artistic element
- Curatorial, publishing, and educational projects related to sound-based art
- Research projects in acoustics, computer science, musicology, software development, spatialisation, or network technologies
