About this opportunity

The EUNIC has launched the second Spaces of Culture call for proposals, supporting collaborative cultural relations projects across Sub-Saharan Africa. Part of the Africa-Europe Partnerships for Culture programme funded by the European Union, the initiative promotes equal partnerships between African and European creatives. Projects should be co-created and focus on dialogue, mutual learning, and long-term collaboration. The call supports innovative work across a wide range of fields, including arts, creative industries, digitalisation, education, heritage, human rights, sustainability, and youth engagement.

Rewards

  • Up to €50,000 funding per selected project
  • Support for cross-cultural collaboration between African and European partners
  • Opportunities to build long-term partnerships and international networks

Eligibility

  • Projects must be implemented in Sub-Saharan Africa
  • Applications must be submitted by a triangular partnership including:
    • At least three local cultural and/or civil society partners
    • At least three full EUNIC members (or two where no cluster exists)
    • Involvement of an EU Delegation
  • Projects must be co-developed and jointly implemented by all partners
  • Minimum 5% co-funding from project partners is required
