About this opportunity
The Misk Art Institute, in collaboration with the MAXXI Museum Curatorial Office in Rome, Italy, is offering a 10-week Curatorial Internship for emerging curators and cultural practitioners. The programme offers hands-on experience within a leading contemporary art and architecture institution, where participants engage directly in exhibition development, curatorial research, and institutional practice.
Interns work closely with curators on active projects, contributing to the research, interpretation, and conceptual development of exhibitions. The programme strengthens critical thinking, curatorial writing, and an understanding of how exhibitions are developed from initial concept through to public presentation.

Eligibility
- Emerging professionals in contemporary art, architecture, curatorial studies, or related fields
- Minimum 1 year experience in curatorial or related work

- Ability to conduct research and write curatorial texts
- Experience with archives, databases, or museum environments preferred
- Basic digital and office software skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
- English language proficiency
