About this opportunity

Film Possible is proud to announce the Matatu Film Residency, a prestigious month-long filmmaker-in-residence program extending invitations to emerging and established filmmakers from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Burundi, and DR Congo.

This hybrid residency combines both online and physical programs, aiming primarily to support East African filmmakers in developing and producing feature-length documentary projects.

Eligibility

• Applicant must be from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, South Sudan, Burundi, and DR Congo.
• You must be able to cover the expenses associated with travel for in-person residency? (The in-person residency will take place in Uganda.
• You must be available for the full duration of the residency program.
