About this opportunity

Kuenyehia Trust for Contemporary Art has announced a call for West African visual artists between the ages of 18 and 40 to compete for the prestigious Kuenyehia Prize for Contemporary Art. Limited to paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, carvings, and installations, the Kuenyehia Prize supports and develops West African artists to build sustainable careers in art.

Rewards

• $5,000 to the winner.
• $3,000 to the first runner-up.
• $2,000 to the second runner-up.
• All shortlisted artists benefit from the Trust’s Creative Accelerator Programme which provides artists intensive practical training, mentoring, and exposure to global best practices.\
• There will be an exhibition (online and/or in situ) held for the shortlisted works. The exhibition will be launched on the day of the award ceremony and will last for a full month.

Eligibility

 Prize is now open to visual artists between the ages of 18 to 40 from and living in West Africa.
