About this opportunity

For the Bold 2023 Continental Call, we invite continent-based African writers to send in submissions of creative writing (Short Story (Fiction/Non-Fiction) and Poetry) showcasing the impact of Climate change on their locales across the continent. 

Rewards

1. The winning story and poem shall receive a cash prize of USD 350 and USD 120 respectively.
2. The Shortlisted stories and poems will receive USD 100 and USD 50 respectively. The shortlist is a total of 3 submissions per category i.e. Short Story or Poetry. 
3. All Long-listed stories and poems will be published in 2023 in the Ibua Journal under the theme of Climate Change. 

Eligibility

1. Writers must be living in any African country.
2. Writers should be 18 years and above.
