About this opportunity

The Global Feminist Pitch invites aspiring, feminist documentary filmmakers from Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and (South) Eastern Europe. The Global Feminist Pitch in 2024-2025 will award five Latin American, Caribbean, African, Asian, Middle Eastern, or South Eastern European feminists the opportunity to document feminist protest culture which is a 15-minute documentary film that will be produced by Deblokada Production from Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and become part of a film omnibus/anthology film.

Rewards

The five feminist filmmakers will receive:

• the agreed honorarium as a compensation for their work;
• the assistance of the Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy and Deblokada Production throughout the duration of the Global Feminist Pitch;
• the possibility to participate in online workshops, learn from experts in the industry, and connect with other feminist filmmakers from different parts of the world;
• the possibility to have their 15-minute documentary film be part of a film omnibus, produced by Deblokada Production and released by the Global Unit for Feminism and Gender Democracy.
