About this opportunity 

The French Institute of South Africa (IFAS) is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the 14th edition of Fête de la Musique Joburg, taking place on 21 June 2025, at Victoria Yards. IFAS invites musicians, bands, DJs, and poets to apply for the opportunity to perform at this dynamic free music festival. The festival offers a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their talent, connect with audiences, and be part of an international celebration of music and creativity.

Rewards

• Music Bands: R5,500
• DJs: R3,000
• Poets: R1,000

Eligibility

• Participation is open to musicians, bands, DJs and poets worldwide 
• Must be available to perform live in Johannesburg on 21 June 2025.
• Must be able to deliver a 45-minute set with strong audience engagement.
• Must attend compulsory professional workshops in Johannesburg on 19 and 20 June 2025.
