About this opportunity

Black Rock Senegal is a multi-disciplinary artist in residence program located in Dakar, Senegal, founded by renowned artist Kehinde Wiley in 2019.

Black Rock seeks to support new artistic creation through collaborative exchange and to incite change in the global discourse about Africa.

Applications are now open to join the next class of artists-in-residence for 2023. We are open to artists of all mediums and all nationalities. 

Rewards

Residency in Dakar, Senegal. Residents are offered room, board, and individual studio space. Residents will additionally be offered a modest stipend for incidentals and additional art supplies.
