About this opportunity

Fire Station invites applications for the first edition of the Arts Intensive Study Program (AISP) — a transformative, fully funded nine-month residency in Doha, Qatar, designed for 20 emerging visual artists from around the world. The program offers an immersive, interdisciplinary environment where participants will refine their technical skills, deepen their conceptual practices, and collaborate with leading artists, curators, and theorists. AISP is led by acclaimed artist Wael Shawky and supported by a prestigious selection committee, including renowned international art figures. Program Duration: 15/09/2025 – 15/06/2026

Throughout the residency, artists will engage in:

Studio Practice: Dedicated time and professional facilities to develop individual projects
Workshops & Seminars: Hands-on learning and critical discourse led by established artists and scholars
Group Critiques: Constructive feedback sessions with mentors and fellow participants
Collaborative Projects: Opportunities to work across disciplines and cultures

Eligibility
