About this opportunity
The ANNA Awards, established by ANNA and Latitudes, support and celebrate women-identifying artists working within contemporary African art. Now in its fifth year, the award seeks to discover, recognise, and nurture emerging and established artists across the African continent and diaspora. Open to artists working in any medium, the award offers significant financial support, exhibition opportunities, professional exposure, and residency consideration. The winner will be announced on 6 August 2026 in celebration of Women’s Month.

Eligibility
- Open to women-identifying artists only
- Must create contemporary African art (artists based in Africa or the African diaspora)
- No restrictions on age, nationality, training, or artistic medium
- Artists must own all rights to submitted works
- Submitted works must be available for sale if selected as a finalist
- Relatives of the selection committee are not eligible
- Returning applicants may submit a maximum of three entries, though preference will be given to first-time applicants
