About this opportunity

Andrew Freedman Home invites multidisciplinary artists and researchers  focused on social justice worldwide to apply for their 3 months seasonal residencies at the Andrew Freedman Home. This program supports projects that center or investigate possible futurities and comparative studies within the social fabric of the Bronx.
The residency program provides free studio space, mentorship, and digital fabrication resources for art and design production. They partner with organizations such as NYC First, Link NYC, and other academic programs to expand the residents’ networks and organize studio visits.

Rewards

AFH offers stipends for exhibiting artists up to $25,000.

AIR is housed on the second floor of the AFH’s 110,000 sq. ft. facility, providing artists with adjacent studios for collaboration and networking.

Residents have access to a screen-printing studio, construction tools, and metalworking equipment. T

Residents also have access to audio visual equipment, exhibition opportunities, career development opportunities, and access to art consumer/collector networks.

AFH offers stipends for exhibiting artists up to $25,000.
