About this opportunity

Afric’Art Factory is currently seeking screenwriters for a writing residency dedicated to feature fiction films. The residency is designed to nurture your creative ideas and stimulate cinematic innovation. The ultimate goal is to build a catalogue of ready-to-shoot feature films, preparing authors to present their creations in front of producers, distributors and other key players in the industry. This experience provides a space to develop your project and contribute to the expansion of African cinemas.

Rewards

• Travel costs, including a round-trip flight per project from Africa and accommodation, will be covered by the program.
• Applicants benefit from in-depth technical and artistic support in order to perfect their feature film projects.

Eligibility

• Candidate authors must be of African nationality.
• Whether you are a seasoned screenwriter or an emerging talent, you are encouraged to apply for this residency.
• Selected candidates must be available for the entire program period.
• Feature film project must be in development phase.
• The application must be submitted by the writer-writer and/or the director or producer.
  
• Applicants must provide evidence of previous work.
• Highly Recommended for Female Candidates.
