Lex Futshane a world-renowned bassist, prolific composer, arranger, and educator brings his friends in Music to the Untitled Basement. The energetic and sensitive sounds of Chester Summerton’s piano, Samora Ntsebeza, a long-standing member of the Ingqungquthela ensemble on percussion, and the soulful Zola Futshane a versatile vocalist will be experienced. The music presented will take the listener through some loved standards of South African heroes of yesterday, then get into Lex’s perspective. New music will also be played for the first time at The Untitled Basement.
