Aromanticism, the romantic orientation where people have little to no romantic attraction, is a natural variation in human experience and identity which is often under-reported (4%), perceptions of which are widely misconstrued.

In the 2020 Aro Census by AUREA, the most commonly held belief among respondents before they discovered aromanticism was that other people are too preoccupied with romance.
