For many years, the musician, songwriter, and composer BACO has been a leading activist in Mahoran culture. Taking up the electric guitar at the age of 10, the move from the archipelago of Mayotte to the concrete jungle of Paris leaves an indelible mark on his music. The unconventional sounds of his compositions, inspired by the rhythm of the ‘n’Goma’ drums of his native island, his warm and welcoming voice, and his conscious lyrics, make him a coveted musician.
