Remember that Goethe opportunity we told you about? The one where they would pay to fly you out?

Well, if you missed it, essentially, Goethe Institute Accra is providing Ghanaian artists with a €500 mobility fund to attend a festival or exhibition outside of Ghana.

This is an opportunity to present your artwork to an international audience and / or to collaborate, work and build networks with other creatives on the continent.

It’s a rolling open call for events until July 2024. There will be another open call in the second half of the year.

Below are a few festivals you could potentially apply with. Good luck!

National Arts Festival, South Africa: 20-30 June

Dakar Biennale, Senegal: 16 May – 16 June

Turbine Art Fair, South Africa: 26 -28 July

AfrikaBurn Festival, South Africa: 29 April-05 May

Bushfire Festival, Eswatini: 31 May- 02 June

Abidjan Animation Film Festival, Ivory Coast: 29 April – 5 May
