About this opportunity
The National Geographic Society, in partnership with The Climate Pledge, is offering funding for visual storytelling projects that highlight climate resilience, adaptation, and scientific solutions to the climate crisis.
The initiative supports photographers and filmmakers producing stories that focus on how communities are responding to climate change and how innovators are developing new technologies and approaches to a warming world. Rather than focusing on crisis alone, the programme prioritises solutions-driven narratives that inspire action and understanding. Projects may explore themes such as renewable energy transitions, ecosystem restoration, climate migration, sustainable agriculture, and responses to extreme weather events.
Selected grantees join the National Geographic Explorer community and gain access to additional resources, training, and long-term support for future storytelling work.
