About this opportunity
The Moving Narratives Fellows Award (Cycle 3) invites mid-career artists and cultural practitioners from across Africa to interrogate how histories are constructed, remembered, and reimagined. The fellowship supports practices that re-examine historical legacies, challenge Eurocentric discourses, and connect contemporary emancipatory movements with their roots. Through critical artistic strategies, fellows are encouraged to imagine new horizons for collective life.

Eligibility

Individual applicants only (no collectives, duos, or organizations)

Must be from, living, and working in an eligible country

Must be mid-career: 7–15 years of professional artistic practice (any age, but experience is measured from when you began working professionally)

Must have an individual artistic practice (not just management, facilitation, or academic research)

Must be able to work and communicate in English
