One strand focuses on researching Leonora Carrington’s engagement with theatre and performance, particularly suited to a researcher with knowledge of the Mexican social-political and cultural context; the other supports research into the 2028 Tate Britain Commission through the lens of artist-supported studios for disabled and neurodivergent artists. Fellows are based at Delfina Foundation in London and work primarily at Tate Britain, with access to Tate’s collection, archives, staff and networks, and travel to other Tate sites across the UK.\nRewards\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSix-month Fellowship from April 2027, with a research resource allowance and travel to other Tate UK galleries and European cultural institutions\nParticipation in Delfina Foundation’s residency programme, including: return economy flight, UK airport transfers, visa fee reimbursement and support, a living allowance of £40/day, a London transport pass, and a single bedroom at Delfina Foundation (shared house, up to 8 residents)\nAccess to Tate’s collection, archive, staff and networks\nOpportunities to present work at Tate and Delfina Foundation events and collaborate with UK art-sector partners\n\nEligibility\n\n\n\nOpen to international researchers based outside the UK\nTwo positions available — one per research strand (Leonora Carrington: Art and the Theatre of Life; Artist Supported Studios)\nFellows must be able to commit to the full six-month term, 5 April – 17 September 2027\n\nEntry Fee\nFree \n\n\nHow to Apply \nApply using the link: Brooks International Fellowship Programme 2027\nAll questions regarding this opportunity should be sent to international.fellowships@tate.org.uk\n
