About this opportunity

The PhiloPhoto Contest, now in its second edition, invites photographers from around the world to explore the 2025 theme: From Darkness to Light. This unique competition merges philosophy with photography, challenging entrants to capture powerful, thought-provoking images that reflect personal and universal transformation. Organized by New Acropolis, this contest seeks to unite wisdom and visual storytelling.

Photographers may submit up to three images, each inspired by the theme, interpreting both the literal and metaphorical transition from darkness to light. The contest opens a creative space where art becomes a medium of introspection, beauty, and philosophical inquiry.

Rewards

• Grand Prize: $1,000 USD and the title Photographer of the Year
• 2nd Place: $500 USD
• 3rd Place: $200 USD

Eligibility

• Open to individuals aged 18 and older
• Both amateur and professional photographers may apply
