About this opportunity
The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum and the Olympic Museum invite digital artists to participate in the Olympic Heritage | Artists in Residence programme. The residency offers a unique chance to explore Olympic history and sports culture through digital and immersive media. Selected artists will have access to museum collections, mentorship from an international jury, and resources to create innovative artworks. The resulting works, along with the artists’ digital diaries, may be accessioned into the permanent collections of the museums and presented in international exhibitions, including the Cultural Olympiad for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
Rewards
- Three-month residency (1 September – 1 December 2026) in Doha or Lausanne
- Exclusive access to museum collections (artefacts, archives, images, films, and sound)
- Studio space at La Becque Artist Residence (Lausanne) or self-contained apartment (Doha)
- Round-trip flights and living expenses allowance:
- Doha: 27,000 QAR total
- Lausanne: 6,000 CHF total
- Mentorship by the jury during the residency
- Acquisition of resulting artwork for the museums’ permanent collections:
- Doha: 30,000 QAR
- Lausanne: €8,000
- Participation in an international exhibition as part of the Cultural Olympiad
Eligibility
- Digital and immersive media artists worldwide
- Aged 18–34 as of 31/12/26
- Professional practice must involve a significant digital component
