About this opportunity
The Myma Art Prize (MAP) is a new platform supporting early to mid-career visual artists from Ghana and Nigeria. Endowed in honor of Dr. Myma Belo-Osagie and coordinated by Metis Capital Partners, the prize includes a virtual artist development bootcamp, curatorial mentorship, a group exhibition in Lagos or Accra, and a 3-month physical residency in Benin City, Nigeria for the Grand Prize winner. The program aims to launch careers and shape the future of African contemporary art.

Eligibility
- Applicants must be citizens and residents of Ghana or Nigeria
- Aged 25 or older
- 3–7 years of active visual art practice
- Work in visual media (e.g., painting, sculpture, photography, installation)
- Open to self-taught, trained, or community-based artists
