About this opportunity

The Liu Shiming Artist Grants 2025 support visual artists in the first decade of their careers. Designed to fund the creation or completion of a project, the grant emphasises work that engages with traditional cultural or historical influences in contemporary contexts.

Up to five artists will each receive $5,000, split into two payments: $3,000 by January 15, 2026, and $2,000 upon completion of the project. The program is open to artists worldwide, but all application materials must be submitted in English.

  • Received BFA/BA in studio arts (2015–2023)
  • Received MFA in visual arts (2015–2023)

• Minimum 2 years, maximum 10 years professional experience
