About this opportunity
Copenhagen Photo Festival invites artists and photographers to submit projects that challenge and expand the possibilities of photography and lens-based art. For 2027, the festival’s theme is “Frie hænder | Free Hands”, exploring artistic freedom, human creativity, technology, and the freedom to shape our own paths. The festival will select 10 projects, with 3–5 receiving solo exhibitions and the remaining artists named Selectees.

Eligibility
- Open to artists and photographers worldwide
- Project must relate to the “Free Hands” theme
- Project should not have been exhibited as a whole previously
- Applicants must submit a biography, CV, project description of up to 2,500 characters and at least 10 supporting images
- Applicants should be willing to participate in festival activities and collaborate with the curatorial team
- Applicants selected as a CPF solo artist within the last three years are advised to wait until next year
- Projects previously shortlisted by CPF will not be considered again
