About this opportunity
Sónar+D and Fundación Cotec are inviting creatives from around the world to propose a new installation for KNOWCASE, a street-level exhibition space at Cotec’s headquarters in Madrid. The open call seeks original, never-before-exhibited projects in digital culture that combine knowledge, research, science and data with art, technology and social impact. Proposals should encourage public interaction and critical reflection and be suitable for long-term exhibition.
Rewards
- Up to €100,000 (+ VAT) to cover all project costs, including:
- Conceptualisation and design
- Technical development and production
- Installation and maintenance
- Documentation
- Artist fees
- Travel and accommodation
- Insurance and other costs required for delivery and exhibition
- Installation at KNOWCASE in Madrid for a minimum of 24 months
Eligibility
- Applicants must demonstrate solid experience relevant to the open call and submit a relevant portfolio. International applications are welcome.
- Proposals must:
- Be original and never previously exhibited
- Be in the field of digital culture
- Combine knowledge, research, science and/or data with art, technology and social impact
- Include interactive or participatory elements
- Encourage critical reflection
- Be viable for exhibition for a minimum of 24 months
