About this opportunity
The National Gallery of Iceland is inviting applications for an artist residency as part of CUSP: Creative Understanding, Saving and Preserving Time-Based Media Art, a Creative Europe-funded project exploring the preservation of digital and time-based artworks. The residency brings together artists, museum professionals, conservators, and technology specialists to explore how technologically complex artworks can be documented, maintained, and preserved for the future.
Selected artists will spend up to four weeks in Reykjavík working with preservation specialists while reflecting on the long-term sustainability of their artistic practice. The residency also includes a public Open Lab workshop or masterclass developed with the National Gallery of Iceland.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be international artists based outside Iceland

- Interactive installations
- Digital/physical hybrid practices
