About this opportunity
The Residency at Casa Gràcia is looking for international visual artists and writers to join its two-month residency in Mahón, Menorca. Each year, the programme selects a small cohort of five visual artists and two writers to take part in a self-directed residency designed to support focused, independent artistic work.
Founded by Rashid Johnson and Sheree Hovsepian, the residency offers artists uninterrupted time and space to develop their practice away from everyday professional demands. While there is no requirement to produce a final exhibition or public outcome, residents are encouraged to engage with the cultural environment of Menorca during their stay. The programme is supported and administered by Hauser & Wirth Menorca
Rewards

- Additionally, some artists may be eligible for a stipend of €8,500 to help cover travel, living expenses, materials, and shipping.
Eligibility
- Open to international artists based outside Spain
- Artists must demonstrate at least five years of sustained professional practice
- Visual artists and writers across all disciplines are eligible
- Applications from duos or collectives may be considered
- Accommodation needs for partners, children, or studio assistants may be discussed
