It emphasizes the importance of photojournalism in documenting social, political, and cultural events, and in shaping public discourse. The contest’s categories, including Top News, Sports, My Planet, and Portrait, encourage participants to explore diverse themes and subjects. These categories reflect the multifaceted nature of photojournalism and its ability to capture the essence of our world’s dynamic and varied landscapes.\nRewards\nThe contest offers substantial rewards, with the top prize being 700,000 rubles (approximately $7,840). Additionally, there are awards for the first, second, and third places, amounting to 125,000 (approximately $ 1400), 100,000 ($ 1120), and 75,000 ($ 840) rubles respectively. These prizes not only offer financial incentives but also provide a platform for the winners to gain significant recognition in the field of photojournalism.\n\nThe Grand Prize winner will receive RUB 700,000 (about $9000)\nThe first place winner in each category for an individual Photo Image or a Series of Photo Images will receive RUB 125,000  (about $1300)\nThe second place winner in each category for an individual Photo Image or a Series of Photo Images will receive RUB 100,000  (about $1100)\nThe third place winner in each category for an individual Photo Image or a Series of Photo Images will receive RUB 75,000  (about $900)\nContest Sponsors and/or Partners may also offer additional prizes.\n\nEligibility\nYoung photojournalists aged between 18 and 33 are eligible to participate. \nEntries can contain a single photograph or series of no more than 12 photographs. \nPhotographs must have been taken after January 1, 2023. In exceptional cases, series of photographs started in previous years are accepted.
