We offer financial support, mentorship, and ongoing assistance for the promotion of their work. Importantly, the recipient becomes part of a network of past recipients and an extended family of people who care deeply about the grant and believe in the importance of photojournalism. The grant started over three decades ago in honour of photojournalist Ian Parry who died while on assignment for The Sunday Times during the Romanian Revolution in 1989 at the age of 24. Each year we hold a free and globally reaching open call and award The IPPG which strives to spotlight new talent in photojournalism.\nRewards\nEach winner will receive £10,000 towards their chosen project.\nLoan of equipment for 1 year for the IP grant winner to complete their proposed project\nInclusion in the Hamburg portfolio review\nEligible for inclusion in the Transmissions Programme at Visa Pour L’Image in Perpignan.\nA London portfolio review with leading industry experts\nA year-long personal mentorship with an industry expert\nAn exhibition of their chosen project in London, printed by Canon\nIn addition, each year a selection of long-listed individuals will have their work spotlighted by the panel of industry judges\nThe honorary Tom Stoddart Award for Excellence may also be given yearly at the judges’ discretion\nAn assignment from LEGACY OF WAR\nAn exhibition at the Centre for British Photography\nPublication in The Guardian \n\n\nEligibility\n\n\nEntrants must be no older than 24 years of age or enrolled in a full-time photographic course at the time of entry\n.Entry Fee\nFree\nHow to Apply\nApply using the link: https://bit.ly/3NLNwLr ( https://bit.ly/3NLNwLr )\nAll questions regarding this grant should be sent to info@ianparry.org\n\n
