And we’re back for round two!\nThe aim of the award is to discover, recognise and nurture a new generation of women-identifying artists from the African continent and the diaspora. For both ANNA and Latitudes, it is crucial that the ANNA Award is as inclusive as possible. As such, no formal art training is required in order to apply, there are no age restrictions for applicants, and the competition is open to women-identifying artists working in any medium.\nApplications are open from 22 February – 16 June 2023. The Top 12 finalists will be announced on 12 July, when the public will be able to vote for their favourite finalist to win the Audience Award. The ANNA Award winner will be announced on Women’s Day, Wednesday 9 August.\nRewards\nR100,000 cash prize from ANNA, a profile on Latitudes Online, and a year’s supply of ANNA products. The winning artwork will be included in the ANNA Award Collection.\nTwelve finalists will be presented to the Latitudes audience, who will be invited to vote for an Audience Award winner.
