As part of the Africa–Europe Partnerships for Culture programme, funded by the European Union, the initiative aims to strengthen cultural connections through mobility, international collaboration, and exchange between artists and cultural professionals.\nThe call supports touring projects, performances, and professional events that create opportunities for artistic teams to travel, perform, and build long-term partnerships across Africa and Europe. Projects should demonstrate strong artistic vision, contextual relevance, sustainability, inclusion, and support for emerging creative scenes.\nProjects must take place between February and December 2027.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRewards\n\nGrant funding between €15,000 and €39,500 per selected project\nMaximum overall programme budget: €445,000\nFunding can support:\n\nInternational, national, and local travel costs\nVisa and insurance expenses\nAccommodation and daily allowances\nTransportation of technical and stage equipment\n\n\nGrant covers up to 70% of the total project budget; applicants must provide at least 30% co-financing (cash and/or in-kind contributions)\n\nEligibility\n\n\nEligible applicants include:\n\nPerforming arts companies\nMusical ensembles\nAfrica-based collectives\nProduction agencies\nArtist development organisations\nArtist support organisations\nRecord labels\nPerformance venues and cultural spaces\nFestivals, professional markets, trade fairs, and networking events\n\nApplicant organisations must:\n\nBe legally established in one of the 47 eligible Sub-Saharan African countries or one of the 27 EU member states\nHave been legally registered for at least two years\nProvide proof of registration\nHold a bank account capable of receiving international transfers\nDemonstrate significant experience in performing arts and/or music\n\nEligible disciplines include:\n\nTheatre\nDance\nPerformance\nPuppetry\nCircus arts\nStreet arts\nMusic\n\nSupported project formats:\nTouring projects:\n\nAfrica: Minimum of five confirmed performances across at least three different countries (excluding the artist/company’s country of residence)\nEurope: Minimum of three confirmed performances in one or more European countries\n\nProgramming within major events:\n\nFestivals or events featuring at least three artistic teams from three different African countries\n\nEntry Fee\nFree\n\n\nHow to Apply \nApply using the link: Connect & Create Grant: Performing Arts and Music 2027\nAll questions regarding this opportunity should be sent to info@delfinafoundation.com\n
