The programme supports visual artists who are within the first decade of their professional careers and are developing projects that explore the relationship between traditional, cultural, or historical influences and contemporary artistic practice. Established in honour of Chinese sculptor Liu Shiming, the grants aim to help emerging artists create new work and advance their artistic development.
