Recognized for their storytelling excellence and an Oscar® win for “The Silent Child”, Slick Films is committed to championing new voices in cinema through this fund.\nTwo funding opportunities are available:\nMain Fund: £10,000 production funding, mentorship from Oscar®-winning filmmakers, production support (banking, legal, insurance, accounting), festival strategy, and extensive post-production services including color grading and VFX consultation.\nFirst-Time Filmmaker Fund: £3,000 production funding, script development with Oscar®-winning filmmakers, production support, and post-production services.\nWinners will also receive consultations with top industry professionals and the opportunity to pitch their projects at Bolton Film Festival on 03/10/2025.\n \nRewards\n\nProduction Funding: £10,000 (Main Fund) or £3,000 (First-Time Filmmaker Fund).\nMentorship: Guidance from Oscar®-winning filmmakers.\nProduction Support: Access to banking, legal, insurance, and accounting services.\nFestival Strategy: Comprehensive plan with Festival Formula.\nPost-Production Services: Color grading by OnSight, VFX consultation, and technical support.\nIndustry Exposure: Consultations with NITV, Bolton Film Festival director Adrian Barber, and publicist Catherine Lyn Scott.\nPromotion: Featured article in Directors Notes and visibility across Slick Films’ network.\nPitching Opportunity: Finalists will pitch their projects at Bolton Film Festival on 03/10/2025.\n\nEligibility\n\n\nOpen worldwide to writers, directors, and producers aged 18 and older.\nSubmissions must be original, unpublished works in English.\nScripts must not exceed 25 pages.\nParticipants must provide a budget and cost breakdown.\nDirectors and writers can submit independently, but producers must have at least one attached.
