They invite filmmakers to submit films completed after January 2023. They are particularly interested in works that address themes such as social justice, politics, arts and culture, technology, current affairs, personal narratives, education, history, and environmental issues.\nRewards\nThe Encounters Festival endeavours to present the following awards at the end of the Festival:\n\nAudience/Programmers Award – Best South African Film\nAudience/Programmers Award – Best International Film\n\n \nEligibility\n\n\nOpen to filmmakers in all parts of the world.\nEntry Fee\n\n\nFree for African entries.
