These interns will assist with daily operations and understudy the coordinators and managers at the various departments in Gallery 1957, Accra, for a three-month period.\nDate and Term: Start July 23rd 2024, full-time, fixed-term, 3 months.\nLocation: Gallery 1957, Accra, Ghana\nHours: Tuesdays – Saturdays, 11 am – 7 pm, 45-minute lunch break. Interns may also be required to work additional hours from time to time.\nReports to: The communications manager and the residency manager.\nSalary: Remuneration will be discussed with potential candidates who reach the interview stage.\nPrimary responsibilities include:\n\nAssist with the daily operations of the gallery with the residency manager\nAssist with with art fair applications and communication materials\n Support the residency manager with budgets and costs for artists-in-residence\nAssist the communications manager with drafting social media posts and monitoring of all social media accounts\nAssist in daily monitoring of the gallery’s info@gallery1957.com email account\nSupport with Gallery exhibition openings and special events\nAs part of the final month, the intern is required to write a report based on knowledge gained and submit it before the last week of his/her internship.\n\nQualifications and Skills\n\nMinimum of a diploma in Art History, Arts Management, or related field strongly preferred\nStrong work ethic\nExcellent written and oral communication skills\nGood organisational skills and detail-driven\nMust be a great team player, fast learner, and trustworthy person\nAbility to multi-task and manage time properly\nStrong knowledge on the use of social media and graphic design applications, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Canva\nMust be computer literate and will be trained on the use of Artlogic and Dropbox.\nAbility and interest in maintaining a thorough understanding of the Gallery’s mission and vision\n\n\nRewards\n\nPossibility of being hired for a role with the gallery after the internship has ended.\nMonthly salary\n\nEligibility\nThis opportunity is open to creatives based in Ghana.\nFee\nFree\nHow to Apply\nInterested and suitable candidates should send their CVs to tatyana@gallery1957.com\nAll questions regarding this award should be sent to tatyana@gallery1957.com\n
